Team Composition

A Indoor Cricket team consists of 8 players a team ,

in mens/womens its 8 players and

mixed its 4 men and 4 women.

Game Basics
The basic idea of the game is to score more runs that
the other team, the team with the most runs win the match.
Each team has to bowl 16 overs at the other
team,2 overs per player ,totalling 16 overs.
Each team has its 16 over innings broken into 4 lots of 4 overs,
where upon two batters bat for 4 overs ,then change with two
more batters, and so on.Until the 16 overs are completed.
So how do we get wickets, seeing that the batters stay for 4 overs
Well when u dismiss a batter ,they lose -5 runs per wicket
and keep batting for the whole 4 overs,.
The ways to dismiss a batter are the same as for outdoor cricket ie: Caught,Runout,Stumped,Bowled,LBW,Hit Wicket,Obstruction .
Other ways of losing runs exist in indoor cricket as well ,
they are penalties imposed by the umpire for various things.
IE: not having the correct uniforms, abusing the umpire or
disputing an umpires decision, abuse of the equipment ,aggressive play ,etc
the penalties for this are the same as a loss of a wicket ,
- 5 runs are deducted from the offending teams score.
So How do sundries effect a Indoor cricket match?
In Indoor cricket there are 3 types of sundry ,the No Ball,
The Wide and the Leg Side Wide Ball.
The penalty for bowling a sundry in Indoor Cricket
Is the addition of 2 (two) runs to the batting teams score,
the balls are not rebowled (except in the last (16th over) of the innings).this stops
the match from going on too long ,and the balls being rebowled in the
16th over stops a team from deliberately bowling
sundries to prevent a team from
beating them.
A sundry in Indoor Cricket is worth Two runs ,a batsman can
chose to run on these balls and score additional
runs for the crossing between wickets.
A batter can not be dimissed in anyway off a No Ball other
than run out or obstruction,If a Batter hits the ball with either the bat or some part
of the body then a ball can no longer be called a Wide or Leg Side Wide
.
